My Movie List 2024

Past years: 2018 | 2019 | 2021 | 2022 | 2023

Basically, for every movie I see that's a remake, sequel/prequel, or based on a book, video game, comic book -- I gotta watch two (or more) original movies. When I first started, I was satisfied with watching at a 1:1 ratio and also less strict on movies based on current/historical events.

The first movie I saw on my own was Digimon the Movie... [add more?]

The impetus for these lists was during a conversation with friends about how there aren't enough original movies coming out, I realized that among us, we never actually went out together to see anything but adaptations of comic books (sometimes book books, sometimes videos games, which was rarer back then). I didn't want to just pay lip service to the notion that "original" meant something, so it became my project to overcompensate for my own trash taste and put some moviegoing money on original films.
